It's Money-Saving Monday time again peeps! Thanks so much for your enthusiastic response to the last two MSM posts about saving money by taking an inventory of your stash and making your own page kits. (See posts HERE and HERE if you want to catch-up.) I've had a lot of fun doing it myself, and have rediscovered a lot of goodies I had completely forgotten about. Plus, I'm hoping the challenge will help me discover new uses for existing product.
Here's a pic of another page kit I made last week. The paper is from My Mind's Eye, that I won over at The Paper Retreat in conjunction with some adorable files from Cheryl at The Digi Bistro (thanks Melanie and Cheryl!) I added some of my stash and came up with the following kit:
Then I added some photos and a little imagination, and this is the scrapbook layout that followed!
So last week, Kathi from Design Originals By KC was sweet enough to email me a link about page kits and organizing that she found at I Heart Organizing a while back. It's a very detailed tutorial about how the author organizes her photos, memorabilia and supplies to make enough layouts for an entire scrapbook. The process is probably a little more in-depth than I would go, since I'm more about making a page or two at a time, rather than the whole book at once, but I must say I gleaned some really great information from the post. Its definitely worth the read. Thanks Kathi!
I hope you have a wonderful week, and get lots more page kits made! And don't forget, if you have a great money-saving tip you would like to see featured here, please let me know!
Happy Scrapping! ~Amy E
